For all you Halloween and haunt enthusiasts planning to attend TransWorld’s Halloween & Attractions Show March 7-10 in St. Louis, the Daily Events schedule’s just been released featuring a list of seminars, mixers and demos as long as your best severed arm. Below is a quick recap to whet your blood-thirsty appetites but for the complete list of details and costs, jump the link above to read them direct from the official site:
Early arrivals can buy into Wednesday‘s Speed Seminars on March 6th, an all-day marathon of 30-minute presentations from industry experts that cut right to the heart of each topic for intensive study. The 8.5 hours of high-speed information will run attendees an extra $130 which includes lunch during the busy day.
Early Bird Seminars kick off all four days of the HAA Show from 8-9am daily, featuring haunting hosts like Dorothy Creamer, Rich Hanf, Bobbie Weiner and Kevin Alvey. These croak-of-dawn seminars are free to all show attendees.
Two parties will fill your Thursday evening: the free Opening Night Party in the Ramada Ballroom to mix it up and chill with buyers and exhibitors starting at 5:30pm; and the Insane Shane TransWorld Kick Off Party at the Renaissance from 7:30pm-1:30am, boasting $40,000 in cash and prize giveaways, a costume contest, all you can eat food and drinks. The latter swinging soiree will lighten your wallet by $99 (though it sounds like a good socializing value) and ticket info will eventually arise at http://www.insaneshaneparty.com (a placeholder WordPress blog landing as of this publishing, but stay tuned).
HAA really kicks into gruesome gear on Friday with a Newcomer Orientation Breakfast ($10), design/sculpting demos by Jordu Schell on the trade show floor both the 8th and 9th, the bustling HAA Live Auction at 5pm, and TW’s popular City Museum Party ($35) after trade show closing for an interactive night on the town.
Saturday the 9th unveils the HAA Oscares Awards Banquet from 5-7:30pm and free to haunters and vendors in the industry, followed by The Price is Fright party ($25) sponsored by Netherworld Haunted House and Zombie Army Productions who team up to test your knowledge about the haunt industry and the trade show floor products (so take notes at those vendor booths!). Though the times are currently TBA, Saturday will also include The Darkness haunt tours for an education look behind the scenes at Larry Kirchner’s massive and legendary haunt complex. Tickets for this tour go on sale January 1st, 2013 to check back at the HAA site for prices and order details.
Sunday starts off with the final Early Bird Seminar on creating a Halloween theme in a year-round attraction or retail environment, then lets attendees run amok on the trade floor one last day until 2pm.
